V8 Shorthorns, established in 1986, is located 1 hour south of Houston, along the Texas gulf coast. Our herd consists of 50 breeding females and bulls and is one of the southern-most Shorthorn herds in the United States.

Our family has worked on the V8 Ranch for our entire lives, which is internationally known for Brahman cattle. Through our daughters showing in junior shows, we began our involvement in the Shorthorn breed, which we chose because of their gentle dispositions, unique showring style, and maternal and carcass strengths.

Over the past 20 years, we have established a nationally recognized herd and become active members of the American Shorthorn Association. We focus on high profile genetics, proven cow families, and the best sires in the breed to raise cattle that achieve the goals our customers set.
